Can you give us a quick overview of your company?
Bitdefender is a global security technology company that delivers solutions to and protects over 500 million users worldwide. Since 2001, Bitdefender has consistently produced award-winning business and consumer security technology and is a leading security provider in virtualization and cloud technologies.
What role does the affiliate network play in contributing to your product/brand’s success?
Our affiliate network is one of the main channels for driving traffic to our website and for generating conversions. The success we are seeing through the affiliate channel goes hand in hand with our brand’s exposure, which means it helps us reach and protect more and more users around the world.
In your view, what are the most important things to track and test when promoting offers to affiliates?
Before providing our affiliate partners any kind of offers or promotional resources, we A/B test their performance and make sure we are always running the most optimized campaigns we can offer. Other than that, we’re always keeping a close eye on our affiliates’ traffic quality, their conversion rates and other KPIs.
What emerging trends do you see in affiliate marketing? Please comment on both pluses and minuses.
+ On the plus side, I’d say I’m very happy to see an increased interest in the Smart Home & Smart Home Security topic, which opens a lot of options for our affiliate partners currently focused only on the Antivirus & Security Software vertical to expand their business. Hint – Bitdefender BOX is the kind of device those kinds of readers are looking for.
– On the other hand, it’s interesting to see how the competition gets more and more intense, which means it’s harder for beginner affiliates to grow as fast as they would’ve a few years ago. But every challenge brings up new opportunities, which is why I recommend to affiliates that are just starting out to be a little more creative in using their current resources, such as working closely with the Affiliate Manager and not being afraid to ask for recommendations or feedback.
What does the Avangate network partnership mean for your brand?
We’ve been working with the Avangate Affiliate Network for a very long time now and it has offered us access to valuable traffic sources and great affiliate partnerships. This network is one of our key partnerships and I’m looking forward to continue growing it more and more.
How do you plan to leverage the affiliate channel going forward?
